Dances, breaks and Spring

A lot has happened since last post.  Sadie’s, visit, Mormon Formal, Sam’s transfer, Spring Break and roses in bloom!  So here are some pictures.

We had a blast with Atkin and Katie here, when they surprised us with their visit!

Rebecca and her friends each designed and made t-shirts for Sadie Hawkins.  They cut out templates and used bleach and paint.  They did a great job.

Line also went to Sadie Hawkins with a group of exchange friends and Mormon guys!

I got a phone call from my childhood friend, Lane, wondering if he and "just 8" of his children (11 total) could come stay with us and attend a wedding!  Heck yea!  We had a fun time in between all their wedding activities!  Come again!

Rebecca looked all over for a dress for the Mormon Formal - almost bought a wedding dress at DI to try and color.  Glad she didn't - finally found this one and it was lovely!
Rebecca and Kendall on their way to the Mormon Formal!

Great job with her hair!

The same weekend, Katie and friends went to the Color Festival in Utah County!  Fun times!

After more than a year in St. Paul with the Karen speaking people, Sam was transfered to Lakeville, Minnesota, in the southern part of the state.  He is still a zone leader - for the first transfer there with Elder Peterson from Las Vegas and now with Elder Morrison.

Rebecca and her friends each designed a t-shirt to wear to the 12:10 AM premeire of Hunger Games!  She did a great job!

During Spring Break, Line flew to Hawaii and had a blast with about 80 exchange students.

Katie arrived at the end of Spring Break, just in time for Easter - here are some of their painted eggs!

Katie had much too short of a break between semesters.  It was a blast to have her here.  The morning she headed back to Rexburg.

On April 17th we were on hand to welcome Elder Shields from his mission to Zimbabwe!

April 20th - Joseph's Coat is in full bloom!  It is such a fun rose - despite it being one of the thornest roses I've experienced - and it has a wonderful fragrant!  Wish digital photos could be scratch and sniff!  Each rose goes through the same shift in color - Cardinal red buds have a coral tint, open golden, then gradually turn red again.  Looks different from day to day!

Closer look at Joseph's Coat!
